An example is presented from the Augusta narrow-vein Au-Sb mine in central Victoria, where the simulation results are validated against the input data and survey pickups of the veins along ore drives. Vein geometry, thickness and grade are simulated to provide a number of different equi-probable realisations that each honour the drill hole and face sample input statistics. This paper presents a probabilistic method of modelling narrow-vein deposits using Sequential Gaussian Simulation, which can quantify this variability and improve production forecasts.
